Dr. Sam Buchanan, DO, FACOS
Dr. Buchanan is a Fort Worth Native. He graduated from TCU in 1972. He went on to finish medical school from UNTHSC in 1975. He completed a General Surgery residency in Columbus Ohio and became board certified in 1985. He enjoys teaching and mentoring other surgeons, so he joined UNTHSC as a clinical professor in 1982.
He is currently on staff at Baylor All Saints, Harris Hospital, UNTHSC. He has been practicing facial esthetics since 2016. He has treated skin disorders surgically and non-surgically since 2014.
He has a wonderful chairside manner and will listen to his patients’ concerns to make sure the goal of treatment is feasible and accomplished.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his 4 children, travelling, and relaxing at home.
Dr. Shelby Nelson, DDS, MS
Dr. Nelson was born in Amarillo, Tx and she grew up in Plano, Tx after the 4th grade. After graduating high school she attended St. Edwards university in Austin, Tx and earned her degree in Biochemistry. She worked in Biotechnology for 3 years and then pursued her career in dentistry.
She graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2009 and finished her residency in Periodontics and Masters in oral biology in 2012.
Dr. Nelson is passionate about educating her patients and empowering them to take control of their oral health. She continues to be one of the most technologically advanced offices in Fort Worth Texas. She is board certified and one of the few dental implant experts that will place ceramic (metal free) implants and do 100% biological regeneration and bone grafting.
In her spare time Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with her son Wyatt and philanthropy to help children and animals.
